This is for fun

Settle is a game between friends, not a real court. Verdicts and sentences aren't legally binding and nobody has to follow them.

Small fights only

Cancelled plans, unpaid UPI, eaten food, being left on read. If a fight involves harm, threats, abuse or harassment, the judge will not rule and we will point you to real help.

Only summon people you know

File cases against friends who'd be in on the joke. Don't use Settle to pester, shame or pressure anyone. A summoned person can report their link and it stops working.

Tell the truth

Testimony is sealed so people can be honest. Say what happened as you saw it.

Witnesses and vakeels

Each side can call up to 3 witnesses, until they testify and one last time after. Once all testimony is in, each side may appoint one witness as vakeel, first come first served. The vakeel sees only their own side’s testimony.

Deadlines

Everyone has 48 hours from their summons to testify. After that the case moves on without them. Closing arguments have 24 hours.

Sentences

Sentences are small and silly on purpose. If one doesn't sit right with you, say so, skip it, and stay friends.
